Your CD is maturing
A better rate than a CD, locked in for longer.
Principal comes first
If the market falls, your principal stays where it is.
Living on the interest
Leave the principal alone and draw the interest for expenses.
Money you can park
Funds you won’t need for a few years, matched to a term.
How it works

- 01
Pick a term and rate
Rates vary by carrier and term. I line them up side by side.
- 02
Grow tax-deferred
Interest earns interest, and tax waits until you withdraw.
- 03
Choose again at maturity
Withdraw, renew, move it elsewhere, or turn it into lifetime income.

Questions people ask
Are there fees?
A MYGA has no annual fee, and the rate you’re quoted is the rate you’re credited. Costs only come in if you withdraw beyond the free amount or surrender early.
What happens at maturity?
You usually get a window of about 30 days. If you do nothing, many contracts renew automatically at a new rate with a new surrender period. I’ll reach out before that happens.
What is a market value adjustment (MVA)?
If you surrender early, the amount can be adjusted for changes in interest rates: up if rates have fallen, down if they’ve risen. It no longer applies once the surrender period ends.
Can I use IRA money?
Yes. Many contracts waive surrender charges on required minimum distributions (RMDs). I’ll check the details for each product.
What happens when I die?
It passes to your named beneficiary without probate. Some higher-rate products still deduct surrender charges at death, and I’ll tell you up front if that’s the case.
