Life insurance
A promise that keeps your family steady
Today’s life insurance does more than pay a death benefit. It can help while you’re living and add to retirement, too. I’ll help you shape it.

Three jobslife insurance does
Protecting your family
The mortgage, the kids’ education, the monthly bills. The benefit keeps them from becoming a crisis on top of a loss.
Benefits while living
A serious diagnosis like cancer or a heart attack can release part of the benefit early, for treatment or everyday costs.
Money for retirement
A permanent policy builds tax-deferred cash value you can borrow against or withdraw later.
Term and permanent
Which one fits depends on your goal, your timeline and your budget.
- Term
Term life
A large benefit for a set number of years (10, 20 or 30) at a modest premium. It suits a defined responsibility, like the kids at home or the years left on a mortgage. When the term ends, the premium can jump or the coverage stops.
- Permanent
Permanent life
Lifelong coverage with cash value building alongside it. It costs more at the start, but it opens up retirement and estate planning. Whole life, universal life and indexed UL are the main types.
Many families use a mix of both. Terms differ by carrier, so I lay the options out side by side.
How the process works

- 01
Understanding your situation
We start with your finances, what the policy is for, and your health.
- 02
Comparing a shortlist
Not one pick, but a few plans that fit, each with its premium.
- 03
Applying
Your application goes to the carrier with your personal, financial and health details.
- 04
Underwriting
The carrier reviews your records and sets your health class and final premium.
Have an older policy?
I’ll review the policy you already have for free. Comparing it with what’s available today can sometimes lower your premium or widen your coverage. And there’s no need to cancel anything until a new policy is approved.
Questions people ask
Term or permanent: which is right for me?
If you’re covering a set stretch of years, like a mortgage or raising kids, term often fits. If you want lifelong coverage, cash value or something to leave behind, permanent often fits. I’ll hear your goals and budget and compare both side by side.
How much coverage do I need?
Add up what’s left on the mortgage, your children’s education and the living costs your family would need for a number of years. That gives a rough figure, and we can work it out together.
Does my health affect the premium?
Yes. Life insurance is medically underwritten. The carrier reviews your records, assigns a health class and sets the final premium from it. Carriers weigh the same history differently, which is why comparing matters.
How can I use the cash value?
Cash value in a permanent policy can be borrowed against or withdrawn for tuition, emergencies or retirement income. Taking money out can reduce the death benefit, and tax treatment depends on your situation, so please check with a tax professional.
Should I replace an old policy?
It depends. I’ll review your current policy for free and compare it with today’s options. Even if switching makes sense, keep the old policy until the new one is approved so you’re never without coverage.
